New York Energy Solution (Powerline) Project Update
Beginning August 14, the New York Energy Solution team will be conducting door-to-door outreach to abutting properties to talk about the utility-owned right-of-way land for the power line upgrade project that goes through the town of Claverack. Team members will be wearing project shirts, have proper identification and project materials to share and leave at residents/businesses. These property owners should have already received a letter from the project team, letting them know about this activity.
A first round of community meetings have been planned. These are trade show-style events that will offer information on all aspects of the project and allow for interested community members to engage with the project team. The draft schedule is as follows:

- Friday, September 20 – Pleasant Valley Firehouse, 11am-1pm & 4pm-7pm
- Tuesday, September 24 – Clermont Academy (pending), 11am-1pm & 4pm-7pm
- Wednesday, September 25 – South Schodack Firehouse, 11am-1pm & 4pm-7pm
- Saturday, September 28 – Columbia-Green Community College, 10am-1pm
- Saturday, October 5 – Milan Town Hall, 10am-1pm
