Rachel Davis and Brian Hedden, apprentices at Hawthorne Valley Farm, have begun providing fresh, organic produce to the Philmont Food Pantry. All of the vegetables they bring are gleaned from what cannot be harvested or sold and would otherwise be composted. They hope this can be the beginning of a long-lasting relationship between Hawthorne Valley Farm and the neighboring community

The local churches, libraries, organizations and business support a food pantry for those in need who live in Philmont, Mellenville and Claverack.
Location
The food pantry is located in the basement area of the Claverack Town Offices at 91 Church Street, Mellenville, NY.
Schedule
The food pantry is open every Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 am and from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Donations of food and/or money can be made at the Town office.
